By opening Spazio Nobile in April 2016, in the dynamic and cosmopolitan Ixelles neighbourhood of Brussels (Belgium), Lise Coirier and Gian Giuseppe Simeone have united their passions for design and art history, initiating a dialogue between contemporary applied arts, design and photography. Commissioning unique pieces, limited editions and installations that are both experimental and artistic, with a particular sensibility to everything nature and minerality, the gallery organises four to five exhibits each year, dedicated to both rising and established talents, without creating borders between the disciplines, the visual arts dialoguing with the fine arts. Among their artists-designers: Kaspar Hamacher, Amy Hilton, Marlène Huissoud, Antonio Lampecco, Valériane Lazard & Paul Brissonnet, Garnier & Linker, Tomas Libertiny, Jonas & Valentin Loellmann, Kustaa Saksi, Bela Silva, Piet Stockmans, Frederik Vercruysse, Fabian von Spreckelsen, Chen & Williams, … At Interieur, The Random Collection commissioned by Spazio Nobile features unique pieces within limited editions, which keep their uniqueness thanks to their singular, poetic and innovative processes. It offers to the collectors a vision and appreciation of contemporary applied arts, design and photography. Through a curated edition of collectible objects and art works, the gallery highlights experimental art and design processes, that are enriched by the collaboration with the Paris-based duo Garnier & Linker, scenographer of this exhibition and revealing for this fair an exclusive range of highly crafted lighting and furniture designs.

The Landmarks at Biennale Interieur

About Studio Verter and the Landmarks: Studio Verter will present a reinterpretation of an archetypal column, playing with the sculptural aspects of a seemingly simple shape and material. Composed of galvanized steel tubes – a simple base often used for traffic signs and scaffolding systems -, their column will transcend the purely utilitarian. The footprint, a parallelogram, also subverts preconceived notions of orthogonality. The concavity of conventional fluting is inverted as the convex tubes reach up to emphasize the verticality of the statue. Horizontal surfaces intersect the lines, defining a precise rythm between four modules.
